How to clean a cosmetic brush

Wet the bristles: Start by wetting the bristles of the brush under lukewarm water. Make sure to avoid getting water on the handle of the brush, as it can loosen the glue holding the bristles.

Apply cleanser: Apply a small amount of gentle cleanser or baby shampoo onto your palm or a clean surface. Gently swirl the brush in the cleanser, making sure to work the cleanser into the bristles.

Rinse the brush: Rinse the brush under running water, gently squeezing the bristles to remove any remaining cleanser. Repeat this step until the water runs clear and there are no more suds.

Remove excess water: Gently squeeze the bristles to remove excess water. Avoid pulling or twisting the bristles, as it can damage them.

Reshape the bristles: Use your fingers to reshape the bristles back into their original shape. Make sure they are evenly distributed and not clumped together.

Dry the brush: Lay the brush flat on a clean towel or hang it upside down to air dry. Avoid drying the brush upright, as water can seep into the handle and damage it.

Optional: If you need to use the brush immediately, you can speed up the drying process by using a blow dryer on the lowest heat setting. Keep the dryer at least 6 inches away from the bristles and move it around to prevent overheating.
