Eyelash applicator how to use

To use an eyelash applicator properly, ESHA recommend follow these steps:

1. Open the tube of mascara and apply it liberally onto the brush. Be careful not to squeeze out excess product around the base of the wand near the opening of the tube. Doing so can cause messiness while applying lashes.

   
   

2. Hold the wand horizontally, brushing tip facing upwards. Closely hold the tips of the top and bottom rows of your lashes between thumb and index fingers, pulling them slightly apart from each other. Wait until the formula begins to dry slightly before attaching them to ensure stability. Dry mascara is less likely to transfer during wear or clumping after application.

   
   

3. Slowly sweep the loaded applicator across both lash bands simultaneously, making gentle strokes towards each corner of the eye area. Allow the semi-hardened product to adhere to the desired location. For lower lashes, curl the lids down slightly, allowing the wand to reach the roots better without touching the upper lashes directly. Repeat process for multiple coats, waiting approximately ten seconds per layer to dry. If adding additional layers, lighten pressure slightly to avoid clumps or stickiness.

   
   

4. Once completed, remove excess mascara flakes with a Q-tip dipped in mild soap and water mixture, carefully wiping away debris along brow ridge, corners, and lash line edges. Remove residue completely to prevent clogging pores, causing irritation, inflammation, milia seeds, blackheads, whiteheads, redness, or other unwanted reactions. Also check for missed areas behind ears where products can build up. Use gentle movements and swipe delicately, paying attention not to poke yourself accidentally. Rinse thoroughly afterwards.

   
   

5. Apply mascara as desired for the day, whether for basic definition or dramatic looks. Blend colors appropriately and consider purchasing separate fiber extensions instead of wearing full sets every day to conserve lash longevity and limit irritation risks. Don’t forget to regularly deep condition your locks using restorative oils or butters for added moisture!
